Configuration Health Check

When you connect to your ECU in Focus Mode, VETuner automatically checks your configuration against a set of sanity rules. This catches common setup mistakes before you waste time chasing tuning problems that are really configuration errors.

When it runs

The checks run automatically after VETuner has read your ECU's current settings. You will see one of three outcomes:

Critical vs Warning

Issues are divided into two severity levels:

Critical — the engine almost certainly will not run until this is fixed. Examples: cylinder count set to zero, required fuel at zero.

Warning — the engine may run but will behave poorly or unpredictably. Examples: a flat VE table suggesting the ECU has never been calibrated, injector dead time not set, TPS calibration backwards.

What happens when an issue is found

The Config Health Wizard lists every problem and lets you work through them one at a time. Each entry has a description of what is wrong, why it matters, and a Fix it button that opens the correct settings dialog. Fix the value, confirm, and the wizard moves on to the next issue.

Once all issues are cleared you are ready to move on to the Start Doctor for your first crank.
